The CAREA Professional Register

A new professional register created to properly represent reflexologists trained to a high standard

If you’re reading this as a Level 5 reflexology graduate, you’ll already know how much commitment, depth, and determination it took to qualify.

For many years, we’ve shared a frustration that existing reflexology associations and registers tend to focus on minimum teaching hours, rather than recognising high professional standards — particularly when it comes to Level 5 practitioners.

Many of you have felt under-represented. So… we decided to take matters into our own hands.

Why we created this register

The CAREA Professional Register has been created to properly acknowledge your skills as Duopodists / Duopody Reflexologists.

As Level 5 practitioners, you are qualified to work with multiple techniques, apply clinical reasoning, and provide evidence-based, bespoke treatments for each and every client. That depth of training deserves to be clearly recognised, not diluted within systems designed around minimum standards.

Far too often, reflexologists attempt to bridge gaps in their original training through multiple CPD courses, trying to “catch up” to a level of practice that those trained in Duopody through the CAREA matrix of NEPIP and CALM already hold as a foundation.

This register exists to reflect that difference honestly and transparently.

At this stage, we have created the register. As it grows, and as we take time to fully understand what you would want and expect from a professional membership as well as a register, Natalie and others will gradually introduce further provision. This will be designed to support your growth, your continued educational needs, and your sense of being fully represented and appreciated as the highly skilled practitioners that you are.

Who the register is for?
